Website Design
Christian L. Wright is an experienced freelance writer working in New York City, with credits at magazines and newspapers from Vogue to Rolling Stone, and Condé Nast to the New York Times. She needed a site that would showcase them in an innovative way that was in keeping with her adventurous style.
Because much of her writing focuses on travel, we designed the site to look like a subway map, with the titles of her various articles as stops along the track.
The full flash site is driven by external xml and image files, and the articles are grouped according to theme and topic. Thumbnails are used to continue the map theme, while helping to add visual interest to the page.
The blog and photo gallery on the site are driven by MovableType, so that Christian could easily update viewers about her travels and work.
